Our children had grown and began new families of their own so we decided we needed to have a new family too. The start came in 1990 with our first pet Yorkie Buddy. Then I went to a local dog show and saw the glamorous Yorkies on display and instantly fell head over heels. I then went on the great search of finding all the info I could on these precious little friends. I talked to all the show breeders and exhibitors, went to libraries and book stores, talked to my Vet finally I felt I was ready to begin. Larry and I have been breeding and showing Yorkshire Terriers since 1992.

Kathy Elvin Townsend, of Cranbrook BC, entrusted us with our first Show Female, Yorkland's Razzle Dazzle LD. I took her on to her Canadian Championship, and was really hooked. Raz became our foundation female. We acquired our foundation male, Mariah's Messenger of Love II, from Peggy & Darryl Nygard, of Ft. Shaw, Montana. Cupid become a Canadian Champion and the LOVE of my heart. Our family had a beginning! A lot has happened in the last many years and a lot has been learned, and one thing I know for sure there is always more to learn.
